Emotional regulation for individuals with ADHD

7pm to 8pm ET

Humantold · With Aanya Jajoo

What it is

Living with ADHD can sometimes mean experiencing emotions quickly and intensely, especially during moments of overstimulation, impulsivity, negative self-talk, or burnout. This free, six-week, skills-based online group offers a supportive space for individuals with ADHD to better understand their emotional patterns and practice tools that can help them feel more grounded. Drawing from DBT and client-centered approaches, the group will explore recognizing emotional cues, grounding and self-soothing, distress tolerance, slowing down impulsive reactions, responding through Wise Mind, working with negative self-talk, and recognizing and preventing ADHD burnout. Six weekly sessions run from 30 September to 4 November 2026. This is an open group, so participants may join at any point in the series: each session covers a separate topic and does not require attendance at previous sessions. Registration is required.
