ADHD Unmasked: people-pleasing
Phil Le Gros · LinkedIn Live
What it is
The fourth session in the monthly ADHD Unmasked series, after imposter syndrome, rejection sensitivity and masking. Why people-pleasing is so hard to stop when it is the one ADHD pattern that gets applauded: what happens in an ADHD brain when yes comes out before you have decided anything, what it costs in burnout and resentment, and what to try when "just set boundaries" has not worked. The session is explicit that people-pleasing has not been studied directly in ADHD, and separates what is known from what is inferred. Live questions at the end. Attendees can watch the recording afterwards and receive a self-assessment in advance. A companion clinic, Ask an ADHD Coach: People Pleasing & Boundaries, follows on Thursday 27 August at 12pm.
